Keeping with Traditions...

Last weekend we celebrated with two special couples! Saturday we began with a traditional ceremony for Meseret and Teshome. Their guest arrived back in the evening to let the celebrations begin. For entertainment they choose a gospel singer, who was fantastic! Meseret and Teshome provided traditional Ethiopian deliquesces for dinner, guest could not get enough of the delicious feast. Congratulation Meseret and Teshome!

Sunday evening we celebrated with another fantastic couple Vimla and Alan, who were also keeping with traditions. They enjoyed a traditional ceremony on Saturday followed by an intimate reception, by Sunday the newlyweds and their guest made their way to The Rosewood to commemorate in a lavish fashion. Vimla and Alan mixed their traditions with some modern twists! After enjoying dinner guests hit the dance floor. The party was not ending any time soon, when the reception ended guest headed out to rest before the final festivity which would be held at Alan’s parent’s home the next day. I love the traditional week long celebration of marriage, such a beautiful fusion of two families; it deserves to be celebrated in a momentous manner. Congratulations Vimla and Alan!

The Love of a Lifetime....

Whether you meet your freshmen year of high school or reconnect further down the road, our couples this weekend showed how special it is when you finally meet the love of a lifetime. Friday evening Lisa and William, who reconnected 20 years later after being high school sweethearts found each other again and we were lucky enough to watch their blissful happy ending begin with a beautiful intimate wedding. Lisa had a vision of timeless elegance. Her ivory and pale blue color scheme was exquisite. I loved that their wedding song was “Save your Love, by Great White.”This was their song when they dated after high school and on their first date years later they were sitting in her car reminiscing when this song came on, it was one of those moments when you know it is so much more than coincidence.

On Sunday afternoon Korenza and Adam said their heartfelt vows in the Garden Room. They met freshmen year of high school and after a few years of being friends their love for one another took over. Thirteen years later and still head over heals in love they begin the next chapter of their life together. Adam and Korenza chose a champagne and sangria color scheme, absolutely beautiful. They created their own centerpieces with glass vases with a sangria flowers, and floating candles. We loved their cupcake favors, how sweet! Congratulations Lisa & William and Korenza & Adam may the love you feel right now be the love that last your whole lives through!
