Honeymoon Wishes..

One of thing I love about being a wedding event specialist is asking our brides & grooms... what comes next! When the wedding hoopla is all said and done, how do they plan on spending their first couple of weeks as husband and wife! .... Our couples honeymoon all of the world! (and some those couples incorporate their honeymoon into their wedding reception theme!!) For some planning a honeymoon is very simple... They know exactly where they want to go! And for others... It can be stressful trying to choose the place, where to stay, where to dine, etc. For those of you that are stumped.... Read on!!!

I recently read this article on TheKnot.com called Honeymoon Planning: 8 Hot Honeymoon Trends. Click on the link below to check out the article. What I loved about it .... it sectioned honeymoons off by topics like "Foodie Trips", "The Sporting Life", "Country Hopping", etc. By seeing a breakdown like this... It helps channel your new couple vacation style!!!

Head over Heals...

This month I'm loving ... the vintage glam inspiration! I personally think this look is always flattering!!! This trend has and can been incorporated into everything from your wedding dress and veil to make-up and hair. When I think of vintage glam ... I think of a wedding theme inspired by the 20's, 30's, 40's, and 50's!!! (and I love the style from all those decades!)

The roaring the 20's were the decade of flappers, jazz, low waisted dresses, and the chic bob. The stylish 30's fashion consisted of natural waist-lines, plunging backless dresses and round toe pumps. Where as, the 40's were inspired by WW2 with padded broad shoulders, trim waists and shoulder length soft curled hair. And finally post WW2 were the 50's when gloves, high waisted skirts and belts took over.

How many ideas can you gather from these decades to pull together a vintage glam wedding theme..... TONS!!!

If this is something that interests you... as much as it interests me! Check out a new favorite app to get cool ideas (my-wedding-concierge) ... here is a link to an exact page for inspiration!! http://pinterest.com/search/?q=vintage+wedding+glam

A Perfect Match...

This past weekend the fireworks were going off at The Rosewood with our newlyweds, Melissa and Kane! The couple shared a "first look"on our grand staircase prior to saying "I do" in our Garden Ceremony Room! For those of you that are not aware... A "first look" is not for everyone and it's not the traditional thing to do... but if you love photography, it is something to consider. You can capture the most amazing photos (... and be giddy with your love when you first see each other too!!!)

Our Grand Ballroom accented in Red!!!! Melissa and Kane selected red sashes, red napkins, and red up lighting to enhance their wedding day!

The couple surprised their guests with a Korean attended station for cocktail hour, match books saying .... A Perfect Match, Melissa + Kane, 7-3-11, and a photo booth!!!! Everyone had a blast! It will definitely be a July 4th weekend that goes down in history!

Congratulations to Melissa and Kane as you start new lives together! We wish you all the best in life!
