Pretty in Pink ...

Looking for a romantic and feminine wedding theme? THINK PINK!!!! No other color says it more!!! Pink is the softer side of red.... but to me ... can also be as hot as red!!!! You can THINK PINK for almost anything: bridal flowers, invitations, napkins, chair sashes, up-lighting, etc!

Last night, our newlyweds' Amanda and John, selected a pink-inspired theme for there wedding receptions..... and is was a HIT!!! Check out the pictures below!

Amanda and John also enhanced their theme with a pink signature drink called
Tickled Pink with Love!" I thought it was so cute!!!

Fresh look for Summer...

Brides looking for a playful and trendy look are loving the pink and green combo! Selecting this combo allows you to go from extremely feminine with accents like baby pink and sage .... to summer's hot pink and lime green!!!

This past Sunday, Jessica and Thomas, selected a revved-up version of the color combo and wow-ed all their guests! Check out the pictures below....

The newlyweds selected favors that matched their color combo perfect!!!! A towel "rose" for each guest! Super cute!!

The couple's trendy four-tiered wedding cake was a hit!



Jessica and Thomas opted to bring in centerpieces to go along with the theme! Tres chic and refreshing!

But the newlyweds didn't stop there! They also decided to select two signature drinks to go with it! A hot pink drink called "Lovers Lemonade" and a lime green drink called the "Magical Mojito." Way to go Jessica and Thomas on turning up the heat!!! Congratulations again!

Trend vs. Tradition...

A current trend is a "meet-n-greet".... A “meet-n-greet” is when the bride and groom are able to see each other before ceremony, share a special, first glance moment and also ensure enough time for photos prior to staying "I do."

And the American tradition says the groom is not to see the bride until she is being escorted down the aisle.

Or do you try the Royal way??? Like Prince William. He did not watch Kate walk down the aisle because of tradition!!!! With the Royal way.... the groom is the last person to see the bride, and can only do so after she has completed the long walk down the aisle and is by his side!

It is a hard decision!!! Do you miss part of cocktail hour for photos or get them done prior; do you sneak a peak of each other or patiently wait! Only the two of you can decide what is right for you!!! What will it be?!

Traditions & Superstitions ...

Congratulations to Gena and AJ! The couple wed in our garden ceremony room this past Friday followed by their Rosewood Reception! Take a look at the photos below ...

Personal Touches...

One of the things I love the most about being a wedding event specialist... is seeing all the personal touches! Every wedding we do here at The Rosewood has a personal touch from the bride and groom. Personal touch meaning the bride and groom are bringing an added sense of individuality to their special day. Every couple shares special moments, places, etc. and I just love seeing what those elements are!

This past weekend we shared in the celebration of Nancy and Josh's wedding day. This fun-loving couple added spice to their cake topper.... Check out the pictures below!

I would like to take this moment to say with this wonderful holiday approaching.... HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! And to share some Mother's Day Facts....

- Mother's Day was created by Anna Jarvas in 1908, but it wasn't an official national holiday until 1914!
